The Opportunity

Stoplight is looking for a Sales Development Representative with a passion for helping customers. As you grow within the sales organization and scale your career, you will handle larger, more complex, and more lucrative deals. This position will play a key role in driving revenue into both our self-service and direct sales business. The Requirements

  • Qualify leads and set new meetings for Account Executives via outbound emails, inbound leads, calls, LinkedIn, etc.
  • Handle scheduling and logistics for the Sales team with new prospects
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to build pipeline
  • Outbound chats daily, in addition to management and development of targeted email campaigns
  • Leverage product usage and SEO data to generate SQLs
  • Outreach resulting in at least 20 or more qualified meetings per month
  • Maintain detailed notes, tracking of prospects through tools such as Salesforce, Chorus, and Hubspot
  • Bring creative ideas to evolve the role of Sales Development
  • Develop a working knowledge of Stoplight products and API design management generally in order to handle prospect's objections and educate them on a “design-first” approach
  • Looking for someone to become a chat ninja with a growth mindset and a career trajectory towards tech sales.

 

The Ideal Candidate Brings

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related fields is highly desired
  • 1+ years of any sales experience; previous experience in technology sales is highly desired
  • Previous experience as a Sales Development Representative (SDR), Business Development Representative (BDR), Account Development Representative, (ADR), Inside Sales Representative (ISR) or Opportunity Development Representative (ODR) is a HUGE plus
  • You know you want a career in software sales and this job is the first step in having a successful software sales career
  • Strong prospecting skills including cold calling, email, social media, etc.
  • Track record of successfully achieving or overachieving goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: you are a clear, concise, and compelling storyteller
  • Fearless and positive attitude – willing to take intelligent risks while being a team player and you are resilient in the face of challenges
  • Strong time management skills; ability to prioritize effectively, meet deadlines, work with others and follow through to execute all tasks
  • Self-starter – you’re always looking for ways to do your job better and you never wait to be told what to do. When you see an opportunity, you jump on it.
  • Prior experience using Salesforce.com is desired
  • Prior experience using email sequencing tools is a plus!
